I have been experimenting a little, on my YouTube channel, with live english video recently on YouTube. I hope to make it a regular part of what I do in the future. The problem is I can’t do it alone. I need your help. The whole point of doing a video live is that you can comment and get instant response from me in the video. It’s more like a conversation. If people don’t watch and comment then run out of things to say.

I get called a lot on skype but unfortunately I am not always able to answer unless people have previously arranged to talk with me. But the other day Agusto from a language school called BECO called and I decided to answer. We chatted for a while and I talked to one of his students which was fun. Later that night when I was getting ready to go to sleep, and idea hit me. Why not offer a Live English Video lesson and live stream it on YouTube for other people around the world to participate. I messaged Agusto the next day and we arrange to do it the following Saturday, which was today.

First Live English Video lesson

We had some technical difficulties but eventually we got things working and it was great. People were logging in from all over the world and commenting and contributing.

Here is the video we made:

So I would love to do more of these videos and maybe make it a regular thing. It would be great to visit, via Skype, a different language school every week. I would love to visit lots of students all around the world.

If you are a teacher and would like me to visit your school via Skype for a conversation class, send me a message with the form below.
